Icefall

Mayoux - St-Jean

Well known to ice-climbing amateurs, this ice-fall is located just above the village of Mayoux/St-Jean, at an altitude of 1300m.

It also offers an added attraction: night climbing, thanks to ground illumination.

If conditions permit, try it out - it's an amazing experience.

Access: Parking available close to the restaurant "Gite de la Puchottaz", then a 5 to 10 minute walk up the left bank of the stream to reach the foot of the icefall.
